About Karwendel & Wetterstein
The Karwendel is a compact limestone range north of Innsbruck in the Austrian Tirol, laced with well-marked hut-to-hut routes. Almost all huts book through the shared Alpenverein system, which shows exact availability by date and room type. Austrian huts tend to be less oversubscribed than the Dolomites or Mont Blanc, and reservations usually open in the new year.
